Epsilon Thorne
Epsilon Thorne is an Earthlike terrestrial planet in the Thorne system. It was initially colonized by the Empire in 3754, reaching its zenith of 155 million inhabitants by 4254. However, amid the Collapse, a confluence of various factors - including an insectoid plague, rogue mechanoids, and total warfare in the wake of the power vacuum left by the fallen Empire - nearly wiped out all human life on the planet. Now, it exists as a dangerous, sparsely-populated Rimworld, cut off from almost all interstellar contact.

- 4299: Insectoid and mechanoid populations begin to grow unchecked
- 4300: Imperial noble house with most space presence (living in space station) begins total bombardment to eradicate insectoids/rogue mechanoids
- 4303: Last cities reduced to smoldering ruins, Meridian Military Outpost enters lockdown, planet population reduced to estimated
- 4505: Mutiny aboard Imperial space station overthrows last remaining Imperial noble house
